Maybelline Cosmetics: Who Are They, Really?

Even people who are not that knowledgeable about the makeup industry are certainly aware of Maybelline cosmetics. I do not believe that there is one person who hasn’t heard the catchy sing phrase “maybe it’s Maybelline”. So I will have to say that they are definitely effective when it comes to advertising. Maybelline cosmetics is a wide known brand, it is available worldwide in well over 90 different countries.

Maybelline’s headquarters are located in New York City, which would make sense seeing as how New York City seems to be where many big corporate headquarters are located. Maybelline is a company that first started out as a family run business operation. The only product that the company offered at one time was cake mascaras.

But as time went on the demand for Maybelline’s products began to increase more and more, and as a result business grew as well as the company’s reputation. You can now find Maybelline products virtually anywhere you go.

You can find them in various supermarkets, pharmacies, and just about any retail outlet that you happen to go into in any place in the world. Even though the company is now owned by another company its particular brand continues to be a dominating force worldwide.

If you take a look into the history of the company you will find that they have been many endorsers of Maybelline products which have added to its reputation. Some of the people who have endorsed Maybelline products include Kristi Turlington and Sarah Michelle Gellar from the popular series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

This is one of the reasons why the Maybelline brand is so recognizable worldwide. It is also the reason why many people continue to use Maybelline products even though there is a lot of competition on the market in this day and age.

The Maybelline brand offers such a wide variety of various products it is hard to keep up with them all. The Maybelline brand offers products such as lip gloss, blusher, eye shadow, nail enamel, lipstick and perfumes. Often times when you walk into any retail store you’ll usually see Maybelline products being sampled at the desk by various women.

This is one of the main reasons why the Maybelline Cosmetics brand will never become a stale brand. No matter how many new product lines come out to compete with the Maybelline brand, a lot of women will remain loyal to the product line they are familiar with, which is Maybelline.

You have to understand that Maybelline offered products in a time where women were only able to purchase makeup products through the mail. You would imagine that this is a long time ago and it is, as early as 1915. Having such a stranglehold in this industry started pretty early for Maybelline, this is why their product lines do not have to worry about significant competition as it concerns customer loyalty.

No matter how far along the cosmetics industry progresses Maybelline will adapt to the new environment and continue to be a favorite amongst consumers.
